OK, I have a few songs to catch up with here. BULLETHOLESI don't really relate this song to anyone or anything specific in my life. It has always just grabbed me by the throat and pulled me in. When I hear this song, I think of someone who is going through a really devastating time, but who refuses to be knocked down by it. Bulletholes in my soul I’m here getting wasted Bulletholes in my soul Maybe we can make it I don't know and Wanted for a long time Taking what was once mine Wanted for a long time Now I’m taking over Wanted for a long time Taking what was once mine Wanted for a long time Now I’m taking over He turns things around and decides to make things to his way, whatever way that ends up being. While it is a sad song in some ways - it's also a song of strength and determination. I agree, I LOVE how not only the words, but his strength in his voice resenates how it will be changed and gives the song power and purpose!

Sorry for the delay folks! Here's the new song.
THROW MY HEAD You change your life or you’ll die for sure You keep on digging yourself deeper down to the core I never met anyone, anything Found such pleasure in pain Put all the pieces together and explode again
Why can’t you leave yourself alone? Afraid you might lose control
Throw my head around No one can ever bring us down Throw my head around F**k this place into the ground And I know what I need and I know what I want You’re standing right here, I know who you are Hello superstar – you’re my friend!
I believe your morals flow down deeper than you know Flow down gravity takes control Take you down slightly lower than white dirt in your brain Put all the pieces together and blow it up again
Why can’t you leave yourself alone? Afraid you might lose control
Throw my head around No one can ever bring us down Throw my head around F**k this place into the ground And I know what I need and I know what I want You’re standing right here, I know who you are Hello superstar – you’re my friend!
Why can’t you leave yourself alone? Afraid you might lose control When I see you want to chase you away When I see you want to chase you away Try and regain focus, mind is blown Try and regain focus, mind is blown
Throw my head around No one can ever bring us down Throw my head around F**k this place into the ground And I know what I need and I know what I want You’re standing right here, I know who you are Hello superstar – you’re my friend!
Yeah we can’t slow down and we don’t know how

I hear such determination in this song. Determination not to let life or anything else "Bring us down". Trying to show a friend not to beat themselves up about obstacles in their lives. They can overcome anything with the help of their friends.
And I know what I need and I know what I want You’re standing right here, I know who you are Hello superstar – you’re my friend!

New Song!
Into the Deep End
At the seashore, down at the waterline Find an exit down near the timberline Fate is cast, take my hand Take a trip out through to the other side
It's a mud stain on my hand again There's a fingerprint on the has-been She will never go on And she will never soar, hereafter
Freefall my way through time Is it all my state of mind? Moving fast, traps intact What's going on, what is happening?
It's a mud stain all over me Now I understand what's happening She will never go on And she will never soar Will never soar, hereafter
And she will never soar And she will never soar Will never soar, after
Come with me (come with me) Into the deep end I'm you, and you are me Losing you would be my own personal tragedy
Come with me into the deep end Come with me into the deep end Come with me into the deep end Come with me
It's a mud stain on the windowpane It's a fingerprint on the has-been It's a mud stain on the windowpane It's a fingerprint on the has-been
It's a mud stain all over me Now I understand what's happening She will never go on Now she will never soar Will never soar, hereafter

I remember reading in an interview that Marty was thinking of CSI when he wrote this - which is why the lines on fingerprints and mudstains. I love the music to this song. And the line "Come with me into the deep end." It seems to me that he's invited her to take a chance with him even though it might be dangerous. I haven't quite figured out if she turned him down, or followed him and got caught. I'm still trying to decide.

To Recap. To date we have listed 10 songs. 1 Casualty 2 Faded Grey 3 Clouds 4 Hold On 5 Trees 6 Bulletholes 7 Rain on My Brain 8 The Tunnel 9 Throw My Head 10 Into the Deep End For the 11th song, I have chosen Eyes Can't See. Please ask people on other boards to come over here and post their comments on the songs in this thread. This new project will be really wonderful when it is finished - and we really want your input. EYES CAN'T SEE Oh, and the room is growing smaller Oh, there's no answer when I call her now My eyes can't see What is wrong with me My world is spinning round And I'm lost again, lost again My eyes can't see what's in front of me Should have learned by now but Here I am, here I am Oh, help me learn to help myself Oh, I can depend on no one else My eyes can't see What is wrong with me My world is spinning round And I'm lost again, lost again My eyes can't see what's in front of me Should have learned by now but Here I am, here I am Face to face you say What you have to say Face to face you say What you have to me Then run away Then run away The further you run The harder I'll try To bring you back Into my life Stay one more day Then fade away My eyes can't see What is wrong with me My world is spinning round And I'm lost again, lost again My eyes can't see What is wrong with me My world is spinning round And I'm lost again, lost again My eyes can't see what's in front of me Should have learned by now but Here I am, lost again Here I am Here I am Here I am Here I am
