The memory that replays for me over & over again was watching Marty for the first time sing this live. The intensity/fire/drive. The emotion he brought to this song was the same as when I listen to it on the CD. He has the power to draw you in and really listen. The first time I heard it on the CD I got the chills. Even tho he speaks of his on personal struggles, this song relates to each and every one of us in one way or another. I personally love the studio mix and the rest of the guys kick ass too!
My favorite lines are:
We're drifting through the questions Swimming for the answers
I’ve have felt like this all my life. I have had a rough childhood & early adulthood and always question why me. Even at times in my adult life I question my abilities.
Persistance. Resistance
I have realized the last few years that no matter how rough things may be I need to push forward. I’m thankful that I’m still here and get up in the morning. I have my days that I have pity party for myself but quickly realize there is someone else out there having it a lot rougher than me.

I so hear ya my Heidi doll.....When I heard Marty sing Casualty during Hammerjam, the goosebumps did not go away. It was more than just powerful, it was intensely ridden with words I can't even describe, goosebumps. I was there in a different way then I've ever experienced before, at any other show. Same as when he sang Sleeper at Pearl Room, but that's another song......
OK, I'd love to comment on everyone's experiences here, but like I've said before, I'm honored to be here to share this with ya all, this thread is my all time favorite!
Thanks again for sharing, and making this yet another experience that we can chalk up to the Lovehammers for bringing joy, enlightenment, and positive energy into our lives.

NEW SONGFADED GREYLost in confusion of grey I am floating down Choices not left to me Mindless path to the end I tell you it makes no sense to me Today is for sure - tomorrow maybe Makes all - even this - seem logical My brain leaks of confusion Watch that dirty water fall It fills up a Dixie cup We'll do shots til it's all gone Now let's kill the lights and burn some wax All is forgiven Question is asked Makes all - even this - seem logical Spend my days in the faded grey Time has always been generous to me Live our lives on the cover of a magazine My mind is blurred and I still can't sleep My brain leaks of confusion Watch that dirty water fall It fills up a Dixie cup Now watch me quench them all My brain leaks of confusion Watch that dirty water fall It fills up a Dixie cup Now watch me quench them all Watch me quench them Spend my days in the faded grey Time has always been generous to me Live our lives on the cover of a magazine My mind is blurred and I still can't sleep

My first time hearing this song, I was THRILLED beyond reason to have Ultrasound in my possession! I fell in love with Marty's vocals here, his passion for the sound, and the sound itself. For me, it just sounds like a Lovehammers song. Spend my days in the faded grey Time has always been generous to me Live our lives on the cover of a magazine My mind is blurred and I still can't sleepI remember seeing Dino and Ben just laugh their asses off on stage singing these lines at Hammerjam. The band brings you up on that stage with them, they surround you with their magic, and when this was sung, I could feel a history there. Don't know what it is, but it must have been a BLAST to make it! I also, just feel energized during this song, no way a person could just lay down and hear this song! This one is a keeper! Plus, a dear friend (Kimmie) about bawled her eyes out when she heard this song at HJ, and I know it has special meaning for her as well! Nancy

The first time I heard this song was at HJ. I did not have Ultrasound until later. I'm not sure why I love this song - it's really a combination of music and lyrics - not one thing in particular. However, everytime I listen to it, it reminds me of HJ and all the fun we had and all the great people I met!

Faded Grey
I really did not enjoy this song or get it until I heard it live for the first time. I seem to appreciate hearing and seeing the songs live and when I listen to them on CD it brings a whole new meaning. There is no personal meaning or lyrics that stand out to me. However I love the guitar entry into the song and the break in the chorus from Watch that dirty water fall to It fills up a Dixie cup I smile and giggle little when I hear fills up a Dixie cup, I don’t know why but I do LOL. I think it’s because I know there is a deeper meaning to this song than I know and love the mystery behind the song and wonder if one day Marty will ever tell us what it’s about. Plus who could sing Dixie cup and make it sound so cool & sexy.

CLOUDS
I am just like you I wish for more in this life I need so much more Lost all hideaway You were there To save me from everything And everyone I could not see
So sorry she said You'll never find out anyhow So sorry it's over now Go on back home
Falling through your clouds I Hope you can catch me Never leave you alone Falling through you now I Hope you can catch me
Turn my blind eyes blue One kiss from you Like white light Feel you shining through So much more to see But you're too scared
Trust me with everything 'Cause I'm the one I give you strength when you're weak
So sorry she said You'll never find out anyhow So sorry it's over now Go on back home
Falling through your clouds I Hope you can catch me Never leave you alone Falling through you now I Hope you can catch me
Maybe we can change You look so scared now Don't pull the trigger I'll never be back here Shoot shoot, away yeah Shoot shoot, away yeah Shoot shoot, blow me away
Falling through your clouds I Hope you can catch me Never leave you alone Falling through you now I Hope you can catch me
Shoot shoot, away yeah Shoot shoot, away yeah Never leave you alone Shoot shoot, away yeah Shoot shoot, away yeah
Shoot shoot, away yeah Shoot shoot, away yeah Never leave you alone Shoot shoot, away yeah Shoot shoot, away yeah
Never leave you alone Never leave you alone Never leave you alone
To re-cap the songs so far, in case you have missed any for reviews are
1. Casualty 2. Faded Grey 3. Clouds

Nancy, I can’t comment in this tread without first commenting on your story. I literally sat her at my computer with tears in my eyes reading your story. You are on lucky lady to have found a friend such as Dino, as well as the others here to help carry you through the tough times. ;)What I really want to say though is that whether you realize it or not, you are also an inspiration to so many of us here. At one time or another in our lives we may have to battle something similar ourselves or with a loved one. Knowing you, your experiences, and your strength is an inspiration that with perseverance and an occasional BITE ME, we can get through tough times…so I want to say thank you for sharing so much of yourself and your experience with all of us. Now on to Clouds…Clouds is an amazing song that speaks more in a general life way, then bringing up an actual time or event in my life. I can’t say where I was when I first heard this song, probably in my car, since that is when I get most of my quite time to crank it up and slip into my own world for a moment. This song brings up so many feeling of assurance and acceptance. I am just like you I wish for more in this life I need so much moreThese words remind me that we are all the same, we all have struggles, and challenges in life. We all want to live our lives to the fullest and get the most out of what is planned for us, and not to ever just settle. Like white light Feel you shining through So much more to see But you're too scaredOut of the whole song, these are my favorite lines. I believe we all have that white light inside us but, we don’t always show it or share it because we are afraid. One of the hardest things to be in this world is vulnerable. Being more vulnerable is a goal in my life because when you can be vulnerable with people you will grow as a person. Trust me with everything 'Cause I'm the one I give you strength when you're weakThese are words that anyone would want to hear spoken to them, to know you have family and friends who will always be there to support you, through all of life’s ups and downs. Hy, Depression is a nasty, nasty disease, I will keep your daughter in my thoughts and prayers.

omg nancy, that made me cry, i understand, my sister has went threw breast cancer two time. she has good days and bad. i was there for all of her treatments. this song for me; Reminds me of what my mother keeps saying about me. That i want to help, give and save everyone. i have some family members that are not the best people. they dont know how to take care of there kids the right way, i have given them money and food lots of times. i take them were ever they need to go. if i here someone is in truble, i want to help some how. this is one thing people dont know about me. i love badboys ,yes, thats what i said. something draws me to them. i dont know if its, that i want to help them change there life around are maybe im crazy. i think that its just that i want to be there for people, and do things that help, and i love to give . i just love everyone.
