well not sure if this is place to put this but I have a magnet on my overhead cabinet at work. The girl that sits on the other side of me just came back from maternity leave and commented on the magnet and my pics, she thought marty looked like kurt cobain LOL so i gave her info about the band and she was interested in hearing their stuff so i ran ou the the car and gave her my MOMM/L'strange/How we Live/Ultrasound to listen to at work and after 2nd song she said she liked them and likes marty's voice

I came up with this idea yesterday while I was sitting here thinking about how I am so lucky not to have to get up early on the day after Thanksgiving to work at the toy store (3rd year and it still amazes me; sometimes I miss it). But we used to put table tents on tables highlighting the special early bird sales.
We could do this same thing to promote LHs. Find out if your malls will let you do this. Another good place is college campus dining halls and student unions. I just remembered that Mizzou used to let us put the table tents up for a week free of charge. We just had to plan ahead and make sure that no one had that week reserved. We could use this idea to promote shows, new CDs/merch, websites, etc. I haven't actually designed a table tent, but I'm sure it's something that we could do inexpensively. We would just need to print them on card stock so they would be sturdy. You should be able to get two or three out of a sheet depending on the size of the tent.

Excellent idea, I must add also, the Campaign also, I think if people "see" that the band is helping the Veterans that are at home, it's good for them, and good for the Veterans. But yes, that's a great promotional thing to do! My daughter is in a dorm at SIU-Carbondale, and decorated her dining hall with bookmarks and postcards, the other students grab those up like you wouldn't believe!!!!! They had a pizza party last night, and she took the community boxes, and got some takers! LMAO..... Great idea hun!

Wasn't sure if this is the proper place to post this, but I received this email from a friend and I will include this address in my Christmas card sending. But I also thought that being that LH was doing so much for the veterans that this might be another way of sharing and spreading the LH love with our Christmas cards to the Veterans. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Subject: Christmas Cards I received the following e-mail and thought it was a Great Idea!! When you are making out your Christmas card list this year, please include the following: A Recovering American soldier c/o Walter Reed Army Medical Center 6900 Georgia Avenue,NW Washington,D.C. 20307-5001 If you approve of the idea, please pass it on to your e-mail list.

use the business cards as tags on your packages :-) Now THAT'S a clever idea! Never would have thought of that one! Good one Heidi! Plus I always seem to lose those darn tags every year when it's time to wrap presents.

YW
just use hole punch and ribbon to attach card to the package. depeding the color of the card use black/red/silver sharpie to write the name of person you are giving package to (using tape may tear the card). this is great for those gifts you may give outside your family/friends since i'm sure they have been hammerered already teee heee
