Hey, Nancy! Just thought of something that could be a great way to get the guys heard! There are a lot of companies that play background music for stores (yes, and elevators) and even hold music on phones that isn't MUSAK - they play real, current songs! If we could find a list of those companies, we could send them CDs and ask them to put the songs on rotation, like we are doing with the stadiums.
I'm going to check with my 2nd job, they have that type of music playing and I'll see if they can tell me what company they contract with. I remember when I first heard Pretty Vegas while I was at work, I kept thinking it would be great to hear LH like that! And during December all they play is Christmas music - I kept dreaming about hearing Merry Christmas (AYL).

The person I talked to didn't know what company they used, but I'll check with the manager when I see him next!

You can totally get prog. rock via MUZAK (trust me, I petitioned once and got awesome stuff played, WHOO). Would be pretty sweet to walk into say, Spencers or something and hear the guys over head. X3

If or when you are around a group of people, and you may hear of other people's efforts in sending Shoeboxes, or supplies, or even talk of the war itself. My suggestion is to talk about something "good" that came out of it, something "good" that a band did, and their fans. I'm NOT a negative person, I'm always trying to see the brighter side of life, even at the worse moments. War is a worse moment. (bite me if you catch grammatical errors). And what WE did, was positive and that good thing. Come here, to this thread, and tell us all what you've heard, or what was said about the Shoebox of Lovehammers Love campaign. In doing so, we are continuing the "good" in life, and in the "good" of the Lovehammers goals of Spreading the Love!
Thanks Nancy

I know we don't need reminders for continuing the LOVE for our troops, but here's a great video that shows us exactly what our troops are giving for us. www.pcsuccess.us/yrg/farewellmarine_final.swfWe're not collecting shoeboxes anymore, but you can bet that your local VFW or churches are. And, on the off chance that they're not, you can step up and be the leader for your community. Let's continue to send some LOVE to our troops!

Now, this has been an Easter present I will take any day!.......All that hard work, energy and love I hear is paying off. A teen sent this in from a respondant from a Soldier in Iraq.....WAY TO GO HAMMERTEENS................WOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOO From: Sgt. Matthew Q Alford Dear Rachel: I recieved the package you sent. I appreciate it allthough I havent listened to the CD's yet, I will soon. Things are pretty good here. I am in Kuwait, if you didnt know. It is a pretty decent post, there are 2 gyms, a pool, and a small theater, I usually go to the gym every night just for something to do. Mostly the big problem here is boardom and overeating. They call this place 'Camp Cupcake' because it isnt in the center of the battle. A little about me, I am with an engineer unit, I fix air conditioners. I actually live up by Rockford, IL. But I have family in Anna, Joneshero (spelled wrong?)I am only telling you about my family because the address on your box came from Anna, IL. Well, I really dont know else to say, besides thank you . If you have questions, or are bored feel fre to write back. P.S. I would really like to hear from you agian. Sincerely Sgt. Alford
This is just wonderful news!!!!......One Band Can Make A Difference

It's so great to hear that the campaign is getting responses! Let's hope we hear back from Sgt. Alford after he has listened to the CD and shared it with the other soldiers.
