Ok, since I'm so far behind, I'll go back as far as Trees. Like everyone else, I first heard Trees on RS. My hubby liked Marty from the beginning, but also liked JD's sound. I was home one day painting my living room wall and, I decided to have my hubby replay both original songs without looking at the TV screen just to be sure it was the song itself I was liking and not just being partial to Marty's hotness. After listening to the song umpteen times back to back I was not just still a Marty fan, but I was more of a Marty fan. Oh and just for the record, seeing Marty with the can do it “acoustic or electric” moment will be forever etched in my brain. This is the song that of course made Marty Casey a common name in my household. I not only found myself singing the song, but my 5 and 10 year old were also singing it nonstop, that is until they heard Mr. Brightside. It is just a fun, catchy song, that will always remind me of the Rockstar shows and seeing Marty grace my screen that summer.

Time for Bulletholes! Bulletholes is one of those songs that has a personal meaning to me. I have lost a few relatives over the years, but this songs always reminds me of my grandmother who died in June of 2005. I can remember as a 10 year old child looking forward to spending the night at her house, the way she made tuna fish, that she made toast in a toaster oven (not a toaster like at my house), and the cups she had, they are all memories etched in my mind when listening to this song. I can remember as an adult taking a day off each month to take her to the doctors and going out for lunch afterwards to her fav. Resteraunt. I grieved for the day my grandmother would leave this earth for two years before she died, I feared her death knowing she was ready to go, this she had told me and it made me angry at her and at God. These words describe those two years for me, I selfishly wanted to keep her here. Why does he have the strength to devastate And murder the beauty he creates Gonna bring you back if it’s the last thing I ever do Gonna bring you back to me I swear to God – I swear to God – I swearThis verse also describes how I felt as time got closer, except I was no longer trying to save her from dying, but rather saving her from being on this earth and in misery. Her last six months of life were in a nursing home suffering from Alzheimer and dementia. I had realized that this was no longer a life for her, and could not selfishly ask for her to stay here. I told her I wanted the best for her, even if it wasn't the best for me, one of the hardest moments of my life, and also one of my proudest. Disintegrate the pearly gates I need to see you, I’m coming through Decide my fate on a later date Nothing's gonna stop me from saving youAfter her passing I never felt more at peace with her life and our relationship. This song will always be a memory of her for me. I’m missing you I’m loving you

Rain on the Brain
This song holds no deep meaning to me but love the fact that fans embraced it and had so much fun making their videos. There are alot of creative and talented fans out there!

NEW SONG
THE TUNNEL
There's a light at the end of the tunnel Wait for me I'll be coming home soon
And when you cry your eyes i'll remember Stare at me I can hypnotize you.......keep callin
Keep calling keep calling Keep calling keep calling
And the distance has been murder On my mind Can't see you with my own eyes
If you decide to get with another Remember who I'm the one that loves you............always
Keep calling keep calling Keep calling keep calling
If I could just go back One more time I'd hold on and never let go Just go back One more time I'd never let Never let you go
SOLO
And there's a light at the end of the tunnel Wait for me I'll be coming home soon
You have to die to get discovered Peek-A-Boo I see you through the exit wound........Keep Calling
Keep calling keep calling Keep calling keep calling
Well I found your hiding places In the bedroom, In the basemwnt Like a scared child under the blankets No one knows you like I know you They'll try to control you like I told you They'll try to control you No No No No!

When I first heard this song, I remember thinking the name should be keep callin'........ It's an awesome love song in it's own right. The lyrics really touch ya If I could just go back One more time I'd hold on and never let go Just go back One more time How many times has a person felt this, and the Lovehammers put this to a song with GREAT sound, Rock, and just magic....I LOVE it live, Marty really gets into this song, and Dino just go nuts, I LOVE this song live!....HEY, maybe Dino likes this song cause he gets to sing for a bit during it ...KEEP CALLIN' KEEP CALLIN'........ ;D ...Billy's riff's and Bob's beats, are just magical, the boyz really give it all during this song.... I'd never let Never let you go This gets stuck in the head more times than not, LOVE this part

OK, I have a few songs to catch up with here. BULLETHOLESI don't really relate this song to anyone or anything specific in my life. It has always just grabbed me by the throat and pulled me in. When I hear this song, I think of someone who is going through a really devastating time, but who refuses to be knocked down by it. Bulletholes in my soul I’m here getting wasted Bulletholes in my soul Maybe we can make it I don't know and Wanted for a long time Taking what was once mine Wanted for a long time Now I’m taking over Wanted for a long time Taking what was once mine Wanted for a long time Now I’m taking over He turns things around and decides to make things to his way, whatever way that ends up being. While it is a sad song in some ways - it's also a song of strength and determination.

RAIN ON THE BRAINI think I again am linking this song to my daughter. She was so hurt by this one relationship she had (and more than once by the same guy). I'm sure that relationship had a lot to do with her lack of self-confidence, anxiety and depression. And while I can't really understand what she has gone through, this song helps me understand it a little bit more. Did I fail to mention Life is moving faster 'times I feel like my mind is going to break I'm losing feeling No longer dream in color 'times I feel like it's raining on my brain

THE TUNNEL
Like Nancy, I just love the song for itself. Great lyrics, great melody, great beat. Another fantastic song of love and determination. Like many of their songs, it speaks of setbacks and problems, but always points a way forward, a way back on the path forward. Like in their career- they'll take a few hits but get right back out their fighting their way to the top.
