I have been trying to put in a pic as an avatar. I've read the instructions here....and tried repeatedly...with no luck. I saw the snapshot of the photobucket in the thread called frequently asked questions....and there are 3 fields. Photobucket I use has 4 lines...and I dunno which one to use. I have....Email & IM Direct Link HTML code IMG code ?? And then do I type 100 in each of the size boxes. (width, length, girth...opps...lmao) From photobucket - you would paste the HTML code in the Avatar URL line - but there are sizing issues to deal with as well. The picture has to be small enough in photobucket. There is an option to reduce it in PB, but then you can't enlarge it again once you shrink it. Anyway, I am willing to help with sizing issues if you need. I sent a PM as well.

Don't forget that DST will effect the time it shows when you sign on to proboards. If you haven't already, go to Profile at the top, select Modify Profile, then scroll down to Currently Observing DST. If it says No, you time is probably an hour behind. Change it to Yes, go to the bottom and select modify. The time should now be correct.

Now you can add Myspace or Facebook to your profile!!
Select Profile at the top of your screen next to logout. Select Modify Profile. Scroll down until you come to Instance Messengers. There you can add your url for Myspace and/or your id number for Facebook. In addition to these two, there is also options for Yahoo, MSN or AOL, too.

There are several new ways to use the NEW FANCY COLOR letters in your replies!
Option 1: Type your post. Choose the color you would like to use by scrolling across the color scale above the message and below the smilies. Click the color just once. Then go select and highlight with your left key on your mouse the text you wish to turn that color. Once it is highlighted, go back to the color scale again and click the second color box. You should see in your message prior to posting something like this:
[ color= ]yourtexthere
Only there will be no spaces within the [ ] and there will be #'s after the =
Option 2: Select the color you wish to use on the color scale. Once you've chosen a color, click the 2nd box and you should see something like this in your message:
[ color= ]
Then select the space in between the 2 ][ and begin to type. Whatever you type between those to will then be the color you have chosen.
It's important you don't put a space after the first ] and before the last [ or your text will not be the color you selected.

For those of you like me, you'll LOVE that the quick reply offers the color text option, too!
Before typing your text, select a color from the drop down menu. Your color code boxes like the post above shows will appear. Type within those boxes, again leaving no spaces between the the first ] and last [.
You can also now preview your quick reply, too!

Ya know....none of us are getting any younger....cept for me....I go backwards each year....soon....I'll be at the diaper stage again. But...seriously...I do have a question/comment. You know how some of us have purple names....and those names show up really well. But you Mod Squad-ders....dang....your names are in that really dark-faint-colored purple...and your names are so hard to see, epecially in the logged-on list. And no wise cracks from the peanut gallery.....I just got my eyes examined....they're just fine.

;D ;D ;D The "purples" represent the "Purple Hearts" that some Veterans receive, and since we are running the Veterans Campaign to get them CD's, and boxes of LOVE, we are colored that way. Now, the white colored names are people that haven't claimed a VA Facility....OR haven't asked to be purple yet. We decided awhile back that all ya have to do is ask, and you get your name color changed, and access to the private room at the bottom of this board. People with "white" names, still can't see that room. Make sense my darlin' Love ya Nancy

Oh...how wonderful!! I didn't realize the significance of the color and the meaning behind it. I think that is awesome.
I suppose my thinking was....of all the tones of purple....the modders picked the darkest tone in the crayon box....lol.

And another weird thing....the time I see on the site....was always correct before but now....its out by an hour?? I've not changed anything in my profile regarding time zones.... editted to say: like when I hit post...on this post...it took forever to go. And this post time says 11:12...and its only 10:12?? Have we entered the Twighlight Zone...and no one told me...

Possibly yes.....Twilight Zone is the ANSWER!!!! Go into your profile and check Day Light Savings Time, that box. If it's checked Yes, move it to NO...if it's checked No, then move it to YES, and see if that fixes your time issues. Scroll to almost the very bottom of your profile information before you find this area ok? As for the speed of the board. Yes, sometimes Proboards have these "glitches" in it, but sometimes, it's our own computers telling us things also. Like, EAT COOKIES, or Defrag, or or or or, clean your discs, or or or or.... ....I'm not the pro in this area, but I DO know clearing your cache is important and keeps pages like this running smoothly darlin
