This campaign is over. The boxes are going out to the VFW this weekend. That does NOT mean the war is over, and it does NOT mean you can't still send your own boxes when you want.
Go find your local VFW, or go to the Post Office, they will all help you if you want to continue sending these boxes to Iraq, and making the Troops happy with supplies, and music. DO NOT send me any more boxes, this campaign IS OVER.
Thanks for all the support. My report will be accessible by February 26th, WITH pictures!
We did a WONDERFUL job, great turn out, and awesome participation by all fans of the Lovehammers either by contributing Money or boxes....
I'll make a LIST of all participants, if you find your name NOT on the list, you can PM it, there are ALLOT of names I don't know compared to your sign on name! That will announced with the report!
Thanks again for all the support
Nancy, Ceeje, NLT, and Dino

Nancy pumpkin sweetie pie with chocolate chips (the mini kind) and raspberry iced mints... I hope you got my box by now! I sent it priority... Now I am stressing out that it won't make it in time. Love you so much, and I know you've worked wicked hard (Maine expression...lol) on it. Paula/gingerpyle

I can't believe it's OVER! But think about this, the Shoebox of Lovehammers Love ONLY lasted a month and a half! So, that's GREAT news, great end result, and an awesome result in giving the Troops what they NEED- Music and Supplies! Here is a quote from Dino, I'll start my review with this, he wants to thank everyone for contributing to this, and how appreciative he is of all his fans! From Dino Kourelis, Bass Player for the Lovehammers: "We have the utmost respect for all our service men/women, and admire what they do for us. Having many friends and family in the service, we have realized that they do not always have basic necessities. It blows my mind how people risking their lives are not always given basic supplies and items that can make their tour comfortable. With that being said, we have come up with the Shoebox of Love program to help send over supplies to our Troops. Our incredible Street Team has worked very hard, and we have used the Internet as a way to get the word out. Hopefully this can help our troops have a little normalcy and comfort in their otherwise chaotic stay overseas. This is one of many plans we have to help support our troops - stay tuned!" -D2K OK, now I'll be showing some pictures in another thread.....
