Thanks for posting that, Jodi. Now, if someone could remember the songs they played from the after-show show! I didn't recognize any of those songs. Others knew what they were because they were singing along - so I guess we will have to wait until one of them tell us. I do have a picture that I will post later though.

Thanks for posting that, Jodi. Now, if someone could remember the songs they played from the after-show show! They played Jane Says by Jane's Addiction and also Used to Love Her by Guns R Roses. I have the audio of Never Tear Us Apart....but I didn't record any of the new songs. video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-327102978521591499

Well, no wonder I didn't know what songs they were sang, chifan. I don't know much of anything by either Jane's addiction or GNR. Thanks for sharing the audio of Never Tear Us Apart!

Chifan - thanks for posting that audio! I didn't recognize the songs either, Jodi. Probably why they went over my head. OK, I'll try to give a summation of the evening. This could be a bit long - because it's stream of conciousness (or unconciousness ;D ;D ;D ) Several of us got to the venue early for a birthday party. The Lighthouse has tables set up for dinner. After dinner, around 7:30, they moved us all out so they could rearrange the area. After they let everyone sit back down, I was in a chair about 10 ft. from the stage. I tried to find a seat where I could get some good pics, and luckly I had a fairly clean line of site. There were 5, yes 5, opening acts. None of them were bad (at least not as bad as that one at Roc Bar.), but the best of the bunch was Gary Factor and CatGut Tonic. They were so much fun. They have actually invented a drink called the Catgut tonic and gave us all shots of it to drink - not bad, either. Finally, around 12:15, Marty and Bobby came on stage. I had been up since 4:00 am on Sat., so I was prying my eyes open most of the night - but that definitely woke me up. You've seen the set list. Marty sang a couple of brand new songs, ones that are on his site, ones that he played last solo tour, ones from Rockstar and a couple of Lovehammers song. Velvet was a request from the audience, and he wasn't sure he could remember it - he even asked someone to give him the first lyric. ;D ;D I absolutely love Black Majesty and My Kind of Wine. Still trying to remember the other brand new song. It was so new that Bobby hadn't ever done drums for it, and sat that song out. Marty stood up at one point and went back by Bobby and must have tripped over something because he fell over the drum set and nearly landed on Bobby! It took a second for Bobby to push him back up. Marty was interacting with the audience and called the birthday girl up on stage. The show lasted almost 2 hours. And it was an awesome show. I had wanted to see Marty solo, and even though Bobby was there - it was still Marty's show. AFter the show they announced that Bobby and Marty would come out by the merchandise table to sign things and say hello. I got hugs from both the guys and then went back to talk to some of the girls. Suddenly I hear someone say "Marty has my guitar." Marty and Bobby had borrowed instruments from another band and were sitting next to the table just jamming. They sang 3 songs before the bar started chasing everyone out. Some people hung around much later - that's where the tiara story comes from. But since I don't know it first hand - I'll let those that were there tell that story. Pics will come soon.

This is one photo that I had to work on first. I'm so disappoint that it came out blurry, but when I was taking the pic it looked like Bobby was smiling right at me.

One of these days they need to put a spotlight directly on Bobby so he's not in the shadows!

You can see how small the stage is, just room for the drum kit and Marty's chair. A couple of the bands had some of their members standing on the floor next to the stage. Here are some pics of the jam session.
