It was FIERCELY hot and humid, and everyone sweated their butts off! I think that's why people are so tired and haven't written much yet. I ended up with a sunburned nose--ouch! The biggest surprise of the evening--BILLY HAS A MOHAWK!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! I'd seen photos of him with one from the past, but didn't know we would ever see that again. It was a very fun show, despite the heat, and the place was packed. I think it really was pretty much at capacity, and that is the main rock stage, in the prime evening hours!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!! When Marty came out into the crowd, he climbed over the barrier right next to me, both going out and coming back to the stage, so I got to help him over. (Well, as much as I could, given that he was moving so fast! ;D He launches like a rocket when he does that!!!) Lovehammers totally rocked the place! People were standing on the benches and rocking out hard. It was a fantastic site to see!!! They played a new song--I don't think it was any of the ones from Hammercruise. It was definitely a hard rock song! I started the day in the second row at stage center, but got acquainted with the nice Collective Soul fans in front of us, and when it was time for Lovehammers, they were kind enough to let me come up to the front row and stand next to them. I had my big lens on my camera, and was afraid that security would come down on my for that, but they totally left everyone alone about the photos. So I got some good ones! Can't wait to get them posted. It was wonderful to talk to so many Hammerhead friends! I gave out all of my street-teaming items, many going to young kids. They really liked the bookmarks and magnets, and some gentlemen who are golfers snapped up the golf tees! We had stood around outside the gates on Friday night and gave out show flyers to as many people as we could get to take them. Then on Saturday, we put flyers in the restrooms and on tables in the eating areas. I stuck some magnets in the restrooms and on posts, as well. We also had flyers for the DVD, too. During the official meet and greet, a couple of us stood where the people where coming out after it, and handed out more flyers. It was amazing how eager they were to snatch them out of our hands, once they had seen the guys play live! I also saw Yerba (Katherine) street-teaming at the show, and some other folks as well. Plus, someone had done an AWESOME job of putting up posters outside the venue! Nearly every post and newspaper box outside of all three gates had BIG posters announcing LH's show. We saw them Friday night. GOOD WORK to whoever did that! A couple people who took flyers from us on Friday stopped to chat a bit. They said, "Oh yeah, we've heard of these guys, and we will definitely check out their show. They have the most effective street team we've ever seen. No other band playing here has street teamers that have done all the stuff we've seen." CONGRATS TO ALL STREET TEAMERS FOR THAT!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, one more quick comment--just after LH finished, some guys nearby who must have seen them in the past stood there staring in amazement at the stage, and one said to the other, "These guys are getting really good!" (I thought, "YA THINK?!" )

OK, it looks like Isa wants to move to Chicago too! ;D Please do, the more the merrier! NancyBBE, that is a great review and I love the pics so far. That zoom of your's gets in REAL close! That quote about street teaming is so true - LH does have the best and most dedicated street teamers around. It is so great to hear others remark about that.
